Lori,
is a beautiful, vivacious young woman with a wonderful,
positive outlook on life. At age 11, she was diagnosed
with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and today, at age
37, Lori has full adult onset Rheumatoid Arthritis,
and recently required bilateral hip replacements.
Lori is extremely creative and when she’s not
trying to keep up with her active 10 year old son, or
out shopping with friends, she spends her remaining
time and energy creating beautiful handmade jewelry.
Recently, Lori made the transition from manual to a
power wheelchair and is thrilled with the freedom and
independence it provides. In addition to her new wheelchair,
Lori was also introduced to our MaTRx-V cushion and
MaTRx PB-Elite back. She loves the contour and support
of both the cushion and the back, which allow her to
sit comfortably in her wheelchair for long periods at
a time, as Lori’s busy lifestyle can often mean
ten or more hours a day! Her new cushion and back combination
also make Lori feel safe and secure even when travelling
over rough ground. Thanks to the inherent adjustability
of the PB-Elite Back, Lori’s posture in the chair
has also greatly improved.
Keeping up with an active 10 year-old is no easy task,
but thanks to Lori’s new-found comfort and mobility,
she is going to be able to give it her best shot!
